Engagement parties
The first proper celebration, and usually the one with the widest mix of people — both families, old friends, colleagues who’ve never met. A class gives everyone something to do together in the first hour, which is exactly when a room full of strangers needs it.
The night before
For couples with family travelling in, the evening before is often an awkward gap. A relaxed class at the house or hotel keeps it low-key without anyone drinking their way through nerves at the hotel bar.
Reception entertainment
The drinks reception gap between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast is the longest hour of most weddings. We can run a class for a smaller group, or set up as a working bar making a signature cocktail for guests as they arrive.
Anniversaries and vow renewals
Same format, smaller and usually more relaxed. Works well as an at-home celebration.
A signature cocktail for the couple
The most popular wedding request we get. We’ll work with you beforehand to build a drink around what you actually like — a base spirit you both drink, a flavour that means something, a colour that fits the day — and then teach your guests to make it.
Printed menus with your names and the story behind the drink are available too. It’s a small thing that photographs well and gets talked about.

Working with your venue
Most Nottingham wedding venues are happy to have us, but check two things early: whether they allow external drinks suppliers, and whether they’ll want to see insurance documents. We can provide our public liability certificate whenever it’s needed.
If your venue has a strict corkage or exclusive bar policy, a class at the house the night before or an engagement party at home is usually the simpler route. Tell us the situation and we’ll be straight with you about what works.

Can you serve drinks rather than teach?
Yes. We can run purely as a bar for a drinks reception, or do a class first and stay on to serve afterwards.
How far ahead should we book?
Weddings tend to get organised a long way out, so as soon as your date is fixed. Summer Saturdays go first.
Do you travel outside Nottingham for weddings?
Often, yes — a small travel charge may apply depending on distance. Ask and we’ll tell you.
