This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or book a cocktail class, what we do with it, and what rights you have over it. We’ve tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
Who we are

What we collect
When you enquire or book: your name, email address, phone number, the address where the class will take place, your event date and guest numbers, and anything else you choose to tell us — such as dietary requirements or accessibility needs.
When you visit the site: standard technical information collected by our hosting provider, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed. This is used for security and to understand roughly how the site is being used.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote
- To organise and deliver your booking — we need the address to turn up, and the numbers to bring enough
- To take payment and keep accounting records
- To cater safely for allergies and dietary requirements you’ve told us about
- To keep the website secure and working
Our lawful bases for processing are contract (organising and delivering the class you’ve booked), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running the business), and legal obligation (keeping financial records).
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data to anyone, ever
- We don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing
- We don’t add you to a mailing list because you enquired — if we ever start one, you’ll have to opt in
Who we share it with
Only where it’s necessary to run the business: our website host, our email provider, our payment processor, and our accountant. Each of these processes data on our instructions. If your class is at a venue that requires guest details or supplier documentation, we’ll only pass on what they specifically require.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking and payment records are kept for six years, as required for tax purposes. Anything else is deleted once it’s no longer needed.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to function, plus any set by our caching system to make pages load faster. We don’t use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or tracking in future, this policy will be updated and you’ll be asked for consent first.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it’s wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
